Here in Ballyfinane National School we understand that family life can be hectic and we are happy to help parents in any way we can. We have an after-school’s service in collaboration with the wonderful Puffins Childcare in Firies.
Puffins operate two collection times from the school at 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
If required, pupils can also be brought back down the school for the Senior Collection time of 2.30pm.
Puffins provide childcare services until 6pm each evening.
Puffins Childcare operates under the government’s National Childcare and ECCE Schemes. Parents are required to sign up for these schemes online where they will receive their unique chick code and subsidy rate. They then pass this information to the management staff of Puffins who will complete the registration process.
Places are very limited and will need to be booked in advance. Parents are also asked to pick and stick to set days where possible to ensure correct rostering of staff.
